The CHP is trying to determine why a driver fled after an accident at Lake Wildwood Tuesday night. A CHP spokesman says the driver of a 1999 BMW was leaving the private housing development, but when the driver pulled up to the gate, waiting for the gate to raise, the car lunged forward hitting the metal gate and causing damage. The driver then pulled onto Pleasant Valley road and took off. A Security officer was behind the car when it pulled off the road and the driver fled. The CHP is trying to identify the driver.
