The Barbara Schmit Millar Triathlon is on for September 20th this year at Cascade Shores.   The event raises money for breast cancer screening and provides scholarships to students entering the health field.   Women of all sizes and abilities are encouraged to get involved. Triathlon Organizer Cathy Anderson Meyers says she will be leading the first of 4 free clinics for people wanting to do the triathlon and it's scheduled tonight.

“Tonight we have a first timer’s clinic that talks about everything you need to know about everything you need to know about getting ready for the triathlon. It is at Club Sierra at 7 PM tonight.”

Cathy says swim coaches will also be offering a swim clinic this Saturday at the Nevada Union High School Pool from 10:30 to 12:30. Again this is free to all levels of swimmers.

Next Tuesday the 21st at 7 30 pm instructors at the Pilates Place in Grass Valley will offer a clinic on core exercises and stretches to help you warm up for the triathlon
