The Grass Valley City Council is scheduled for its regular meeting tomorrow night. The council, as part of its consent agenda will likely approve execution of agreements necessary to get Northern Sierra Air Quality District Grant funds. City Administrator, Dan Hollers, says $40-thousand dollars of that will go toward the nearly $800-thousand purchase of a new Fire ladder truck for the city, while another $90-thousand will go toward the purchase of a new diesel trash truck that will meet new California Air Resources Board standards. The council is also scheduled to consider approval of the beginning of construction work on the Upper Side ravine area of North Church Street. Council members will also be considering a $50-thousand contract with artist Kurt Steger for the centerpiece of the Idaho-Maryland/East Main Roundabout. The Grass Valley City Council meeting gets underway at 7:00 pm tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
