The Grass Valley City Council is scheduled for its regular meeting Tuesday night. The council, as part of its consent agenda will likely approve execution of agreements necessary to get Northern Sierra Air Quality District Grant funds. City Administrator, Dan Hollers, says Forty-thousand dollars of that will go toward the nearly 800-thousand dollar purchase of a new Fire ladder truck for the city.
“We also have $90,000 in air quality district funds coming in to replace some of our Public Works equipment. Our dump trucks were under obligations as others are to replace a lot of our old diesel equipment with more updated equipment for air quality requirements.”
The council is also likely to approve the beginning phase of work to improve the upper side ravine area of North Church Street.
“We’ll be moving forward with the engineering work, about $133,000 worth of work, and then we’ll follow that up this spring and summer with another $350,000 worth of infrastructure work for water and sewer drainage road work in that area.”
Holler says the council will also be reviewing the proposed professional services agreement for 50-thousand dollars with artist Kurt Steger to complete the Roundabout Centerpiece Artwork at Idaho-Maryland and East Main Street. The Grass Valley City Council meets tomorrow night at seven at Grass Valley City Hall.
