A Nevada City man was hospitalized after rear ending a Kenworth dump truck. CHP Public Information Officer Heather Blancharte says the accident was reported Monday morning, on Highway 20 near Penn Valley Drive. A 24 year old Nevada City man was driving a 2006 Jeep when he failed to see a dump truck slowing in front of him. Officer Blancharte says the accident sent one driver to the hospital.
“A Jeep Grand Cherokee driving eastbound on 20, west of Penn Valley Drive and he failed to realize that there was a dump truck at a slower speed ahead of him and rear ended the dump truck. That driver did receive major injuries and he was life flighted to Sutter Roseville for treatment.”
The driver of the Jeep received a possible broken arm and a broken clavicle; he was taken to Sutter Roseville by helicopter. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
