Fire Destroys Home on Penn Road

There was a house fire on Penn Road south of Alta Sierra yesterday morning
around 2am. The property owners managed to get out after smoke alarms sounded,
but their home and belongings are lost.  The Red Cross has assisted the family
with a voucher for a hotel room. The cause of the fire is still under
investigation, but it may have originated in a wood pile near the house.
